Blankenship Bags First Feature Win of 2019 Racing Season!!!
(August 11, 2019) A night after being paid for a twenty-second place effort in a $2,000 to win American Crate All-Star Series tilt at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee due to a rock creating a hole in his radiator, William Blankenship bounced back in a big way on Saturday night, August 10 by picking up his first feature win of 2019 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia! William laid down the quickest lap overall during the qualifying session to land on the pole of the 25-lap weekly main event. The McMinnville, Tennessee native then led from flag-to-flag in the headliner to pocket the $600 windfall in dominant fashion ahead of Justin Cameron, Josh Walker, Sylvan Schuette, and AJ Carlisi! William Blankenship Finishes Fourth at Boyd's; Gets Third in Points!
(August 4, 2019) McMinnville, Tennessee ace William Blankenship competed in one lone event over the weekend, as his #32 team invaded Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday evening, August 3 for the track's final point battle. William laid down the third quickest time during qualifying to lock himself into the inside of the second row for the start of the A-Main. William then brought home a solid top five finish in the point finale, as he crossed underneath the checkers in the fourth finishing position behind only victor Ethan Hunter, Colby Kilgore, and Bryan Pritchard. Blankenship Earns Pair of Top Tens at Crossville and Boyd's
(July 28, 2019) William Blankenship unloaded his #32 Crate Late Model in a pair of special events from July 25-27 in Tennessee and Georgia. On Thursday night at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee, William knocked down the sixth fastest lap overall during qualifying, but his right rear tire was going flat late in the $853 to win main event and the McMinnville, Tennessee ace slipped back to an eighth place showing in the 25-lapper. At Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday evening, William stopped the clock fifth quickest in time trials, moved up to fourth in the running order of the $1,000 to win feature event, and eventually wound up sixth in the final rundown at the Chattanooga-area oval. He finds himself third in the latest version of the Boyd's point standings heading into next week's point finale!!! William Blankenship Makes Visit to 411 Motor Speedway
(July 21, 2019) The William Blankenship Racing team wound up at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee on Saturday evening, July 20 for a weekly Crate Late Model event. William Blankenship, who was making his first visit of the season to the Volunteer State oval, timed in thirteenth fastest overall during the qualifying session. After starting the 25-lap headliner from the inside of the seventh row, William climbed up inside of the top ten in the rough-and-tumble race before pulling off the track, which dropped the McMinnville, Tennessee youngster to a fourteenth place showing. Blankenship Shows Speed in $3,000 J. Paul Smith Memorial
(July 6, 2019) William Blankenship and his #32 team ventured back to Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee on Friday evening, July 5 for the 2nd edition of the 'J. Paul Smith Memorial.' The Crate Late Model special drew a stout field of competitors - all of whom were gunning for the $3,000 top prize. After timing in tenth quickest overall during the qualifying session, William ran second in heat race action. The McMinnville, Tennessee ace was then hovering around the top ten and was looking for a solid finish in the special event before he was hit from behind and turned into the wall. Damage to his #32 mount kept William from continuing and he was forced to settle for a twentieth place effort. (June 30, 2019) The William Blankenship Racing team roared into Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee and Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia over the June 28-29 weekend for a pair of weekly Crate Late Model showdowns. On Friday night at Crossville, William Blankenship timed in eighth fastest overall during the qualifying session prior to blasting up inside of the top five during the main event - only to wind up sixth in the final finishing order. At Boyd's on Saturday evening, William clicked off the tenth quickest time during qualifying and later moved up one spot during the headliner on his way to a ninth place showing. Blankenship Hangs on for Top Ten Duck River Showing
(June 15, 2019) William Blankenship, of McMinnville, Tennessee, invaded Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee on Friday night, June 14 for a $1,000 to win Crate Late Model program. William posted the tenth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the fifth row for the start of the main event. Despite suffering a broken left front upper a-arm early in the feature distance, William was able to wheel his #32 machine to a tenth place outing. Due to the left front suspension problems and the unavailability of the part on short notice, the #32 team was unable to enter the $1,000 to win Crate program held tonight at Duck River. Blankenship Spends Memorial Day Holiday Weekend Slinging Dirt
(May 27, 2019) William Blankenship and his #32 team entered a pair of Crate Late Model events over the Memorial Day holiday weekend on May 24-26 at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tennessee and Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. On Friday night at Crossville, William nabbed his third Top Five showing of 2019, as he crossed underneath the checkers fifth behind only race winner David Duplissey, Chris Wilson, Andy Miller, and Colton Proffitt. At Duck River on Sunday evening, William did not get the finish he was hoping for and brought his #32 Moyer Victory racecar - prepped by Randy Weaver - home in the twelfth finishing position.
